Parent And Son — Supported Independent Living in Bundaberg, QLD

More Than 500,000 Australians

The National Disability Insurance Scheme is a nation-wide program that provides more than $22 billion funding annually for eligible people, based on their individual needs. Through NDIS, an estimated 500,000 Australians with a permanent or significant disability receive the support they need, including connections to services within the community.

Doctors, sporting clubs, support groups, libraries—NDIS participants can access these and many other services through their individual support plans. That’s where Carinbundi comes in. Our not-for-profit organisation is a recognised NDIS provider, and offers supports, programs and services in accordance with this scheme.

NDIS participants are able to control the support they receive, when they receive it and who provides it—helping to ensure that clients are actively involved in their own care. Early Childhood Intervention

If you are concerned that your child is experiencing issues with their development, it’s important to contact an early childhood partner to get some helpful information. They will tailor a support plan to suit your child’s individual needs and circumstances, as well as referring you to other services and supports within the region.

Early childhood intervention can have a very positive effect on the development of young children. If an issue is noticed, early childhood partners can help you request access to the NDIS and get supports in place to monitor your child’s progress. Learn more through the official website.

Yes we do. However, our services only cater for children aged 7 to 18.  If you have somebody under seven (7), we encourage you to discuss your requirements with either your LAC or your Support Coordinator.

ACCOUNTABILITY!  Registered NDIS Providers, like Carinbundi, must ensure all employees hold both a Blue & Yellow Card.  We also ensure drivers’ licences and insurances are up to date.  In addition, we are subject to annual Government audits.  All of our staff have completed training in the NDIS Code of Conduct which has been developed by the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission.

Carinbundi charges according to the NDIS recommended price guide. We understand we are not the ‘cheapest’ provider. However, we are an NDIS registered provider which comes with considerable overheads but also brings Peace of Mind to our participants.

NDIS funding doesn’t cover general everyday living expenses that people without disability would be required to pay, such as train travel, rent, groceries, mobile phone or movie tickets.

There are many places who accept “Companion Cards”.  Companion Card holders receive a second ‘companion’ ticket at no charge at participating venues and on public transport. The ‘companion’ ticket is also exempt from booking fees.  Apply for a Companion Card.

Yes, this is possible.  You can request funding to support you to take a holiday or getaway.  This may include expenses related to your disability.  You won’t be able to claim expenses that any other person would incur on holidays, eg. Accommodation, food and transport.

Our Respite House, Strathdee Lodge, may be a suitable alternative for a supported break away or respite.

The NDIS may, under certain circumstances, fund accommodation, food and supports.  We encourage you to discuss this with your provider.

Contact our Intake Team to discuss your specific requirements.  [email protected] or 07 4158 9600.
