COVID hasn’t been easy on anyone. Carinbundi is committed to maintaining and re-assessing practices in accordance with any changes in circumstances, as well as planning and implementing additional practices when required. In order to prevent the spread of the virus within our workplaces and SIL homes in Bundaberg, we are using best practices and following the Department of Health’s advice in relation to personal and surface hygiene.
Our two priorities at Carinbundi are as follows:
We have a thorough hygiene campaign throughout our organisation, with regular education and training for all staff members. Count on Carinbundi to provide the latest information and news to staff to ensure the safest practices.
Some of our offices may soon close, with staff working from home to minimise the risk to all. However, we can be contacted on our normal office number (07) 4158 9600. Also, the Department of Health has a 24/7 hotline – ph. 1800 020 080.
It is important that you continue to observe the advice provided by leading experts and authorities by visiting the Australian Government Department of Health website for the most up-to-date resources.
Please be assured that the health and wellbeing of our clients, staff, and families are at the centre of everything we do, and we are taking the risk posed by COVID-19 extremely seriously.
Carinbundi sends out a huge thank you to everyone working on the frontline of this crisis, namely the wonderful team of our support workers!
This is a situation we cannot handle alone. By working as part of a broader network – including with others in the sector and government bodies – we aim to navigate through this unprecedented health crisis with strength, compassion, and resilience to everyone we come in contact with. We are committed to being responsive to people’s needs and to ensuring that we continue to protect and care for people in our community.
